Look Inside Apple's New Wicked HQ
New images of Apple's futuristic headquarters released
Over 20 images of Apple's new space age Cupertino headquarters have
been released allowing you to take a look around the site's visionary
design, eco-friendly roads, a utopian work environment and more glass
than you can shake your Mac at.
Images of the Apple Campus 2 have been trickling out since 2011 but Wired.com
reports on the developments of the 176-acre mini-city including its
Norman Foster designed, 2.8m square foot, futuristic circular main
building, surrounding forest (with Apple trees, naturally) and the
rather sinister underground auditorium where press launches and secret
product development will take place.More state-of-the-art features include it being run on renewable energy, a 90,000 square foot cafeteria, a fitness centre, underground transport tunnels and an edgeless design in the main office so "collaboration isn't inhibited."
The $5bn project, which is set to be completed in 2016 will be home to over 13,000 employees and, like its legacy of gadgets, look to raise the bar of architecture and design.
