The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Customs over the most
recent two weeks made seizure of 38 vehicles, 1,060 packs of remote rice 50kg
each, 158 barrels of vegetable oil (25 liters each), 159 containers of
solidified poultry items, 150 barrels of Cooking oil 25 liters each (unloaded)
among others.
The Chief Assistant Comptroller of the Command said that, the journey to
sufficiently secure our fringes and borders against financial saboteurs is
picking up force. Both inward and outer systems are conveyed to guarantee that desperate
and battle ready smugglers are vanquished.
He further went on to add that, one of the unfriendly
impacts of pirating on a country is financial strangulation.
In this way, coordinated endeavors are deliberately intended
to guarantee that reformatory measures won't be constrained to seizures of
carried things, yet revitalized endeavors will be outfitted towards the arrests
and indictment of smuggling rings to serve as a vital warning to others.
