Father and Two Sons Defiled 9 Years Old Arrested

 The Edo State government has given a man who is more than 70 years of age Francis Ezomo, and his two children; Nosa Ezomo, 26 years of age and Festus Ezomo, 29 years of age, to the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Johnson Kokumo, for professedly defiling a nine-year-old young lady, who is a relative of Mr Francis Ezomo's wife.

The Acting Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Basic Education, Dr. Joan Osa Oviawe, told columnists after the suspects were given over to the Police at Government House, Benin City, that the case was accounted for to her office by the headmistress of the minor.

"The issue went to the spotlight when the headmistress of the minor's school observed a difference in the conduct of the minor and chose to ask her what the issue was. The nine years of age young lady portrayed her sad story to the headmistress who at that point informed the Education Secretary of the nearby government committee where the asserted wrongdoing occurred. We at that point swung vigorously and got the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development included," Dr. Oviawe said.

The SUBEB supervisor included that when "we couldn't get the important action required from the Police, the state government swung enthusiastically and these three men were caught very quickly."

She clarified that the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development has taken guardianship of the youngster who is presently in a sheltered place and guaranteed that SUBEB would guarantee that her education isn't truncated.

"What the men have done is terrible and their activities have endeavored to decimate the life and eventual fate of the minor. The three men exploited the youngster and exposed her to a lifetime of trauma. We have waded into the case to guarantee justice prevails," Oviawe said.

The state commissioner of police guaranteed that his men would investigate the case and charge the matter to court.

"Logical examination for the minor was sent to the Medical Hospital and a Specialist report has demonstrated that her hymen has been broken. The logical report has built up that the minor was sexually manhandled. We will examine the case and charge them to court," Kokumo stated, and encouraged guardians not to leave the obligation of supporting their kids to instructors in schools.

"Supporting a youngster isn't only the obligation of the school, both guardians and parents have a considerable measure of parts to play in the best possible way of preparing up our kids," the police supervisor said.
